Utah lawyers alerts-A crash involving a gravel truck and a pickup truck injured two.
Salt Lake City, UT—A crash involving a loaded gravel truck and a pickup truck left two people critically injured. The two-vehicle collision happened on Monday afternoon, September 21, 2009, around 2:04 p.m., underneath the I-215 overpass on California Avenue, as reported by the Desert News.
Police reports stated a southbound pickup truck was exiting I-215 at California Avenue, at the same time a northbound large double-belly gravel truck was exiting the Interstate at California Avenue. As both of the vehicles rounded a curve, the pickup truck hit the gravel truck, and possibly was run over by the trailer the gravel truck was towing. The driver of the gravel truck apparently did not realize the truck hit him until the driver noticed he was losing gravel from one of the trailers. The occupants of the pickup truck, Vincent Moore, 26, and Bianca Jablonski, 19, were seriously injured in the crash. The couple’s 6-month-old child, who was restrained in a child safety seat, was found upside down on the pickup trucks floor uninjured. Moore was reportedly airlifted to University Hospital in critical condition. Jablonski was transported by area emergency medical services (EMS) ambulance to a local condition for treatment of her serious injuries. Twenty EMS personnel from the Salt Lake City Fire Department, and three ambulances reportedly responded to the scene of the two-vehicle crash.
