Florida automobile accident lawyer’s alert- A vehicle crash involving a Saturn and a Toyota pickup truck in Oakland Park injures 8.
Fort Lauderdale, FL—A serious motor vehicle wreck involving a 2000 Saturn and a Toyota pickup truck in Oakland Park, left eight people injured. The crash happened at the intersection of North Andrews Avenue and 56th Street at 4:30 p.m., as reported by the Miami Herald.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) stated the driver of the Saturn, Linda Fulton, 42, was traveling westbound on Northeast 56th Street when a Toyota pickup truck slammed into her car door. The impact of the crash catapulted the Saturn into a sign, a pole, and hedges before coming to a stop. An infant, Travis Allen, 1 month old, was ejected from the car. Latasha Fulton, 25, Clement Supall, 5, and Shaniyaa Keels, 10, were also traveling in the car when the accident occurred. Rescue teams with the Oakland Fire Rescue had to use the Jaws of Life to remove Fulton and Supall from the badly damaged car. The driver of the pickup truck, Oscar Montalvan, 37, and his wife, Claudia, 38, were both injured in the wreck. According to BSO, all eight injured victims were transported by emergency medical service (EMS) crews to Broward General Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale for treatment. The infant and the Supall are currently listed in critical condition. Linda Fulton died on Thursday from her serious injuries she sustained in the crash. The other victims involved in the crash are reportedly suffering from non-life threatening injuries. Accident investigators are conducting a full investigation of the crash.
