Feds recall Wei-Chuan USA chicken bouillon products for unapproved sources.
San Francisco, CA (JusticeNewsFlash.com)–The United States Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) www.fsis.usda.gov a division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) www.usda.gov, released a Class II recall on Wednesday. The FSIS recalled 89,531 pounds of granulated chicken bouillon products imported by Wei-Chuan USA Inc., a Bell Gardens, California company.
The recall, of the granulated chicken bouillon products which were distributed to retail establishments in California, Illinois, New Jersey, Texas and Washington, was initiated because the Customs and Border Protection informed FSIS of ineligible imported products coming from an unapproved source. The chicken products do not meed poultry food inspection or exemption federal guidelines and standards which is a violation of federal law. The bouillon products and the chicken sources used for the ingredients could not be verified they had been inspected as required by American standards or equivalent foreign standards.

-2.2 pound cans of WEI-CHUAN Granulated Chicken Bouillon
-5 pound plastic pouches of WEI-CHUAN Granulated Chicken Bouillon
