Caroline Kennedy removed her name from New York senate list.

New York, NY (JusticeNewsFlash.com)-On the same day Hilary Clinton was named U.S. Secretary of State, Caroline Kennedy withdrew her name from the U.S. Senate list for the state of New York. According to ABC News, New York Governor David Paterson received a call late Wednesday from Kennedy informing him to remove her name from the list of possible replacements for the now vacated senate seat by Clinton.

Caroline Kennedy reportedly cited “personal reasons” for her withdrawal from Senate contention. Political experts are questioning the reasons behind Kennedy’s change of heart. Her uncle Senator Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts is recuperating from his recent hospitalization for seizures. The tenured senator is undergoing medical treatment for an aggressive brain cancer and fell ill on the day of the inauguration of President Obama as the 44th United States President.

Caroline Kennedy briefly campaigned around New York in the past two months. The New York Senate seat remains vacant with New Yorkers questioning the name of the successor.
