New York – Singer Jill Scott has caused an uproar on Twitter after posting comments defending comedian Bill Cosby amid a flurry of rape allegations against him. As reported by WebProNews, the singer posted that she refused to believe the allegations until proof has been presented to back the claims made by his accusers.
Scott is quoted as referring to Cosby as “someone who has done so much for our greater good” on social media and had several heated discussions about his plight on the popular social networking site.
A reported 20 women have come forward with allegations that they had been sexually assaulted by Cosby.
Cosby has not personally addressed the allegations; however, his attorney has refuted the alleged claims.
